Welcome to Drum Lessons in Mississauga
Drums were first played way back in 6,000 B.C. The technical name for drums is “membranophone” but it is a lot easier to say that you are a “drummer”, rather than a “membranophonist”.
It is said that many people march to the rhythm of their own drum, and this is particularly true of people who learn to play drums – because it is all about rhythm! It’s also true that drummers like to make noise…big, boomy, and cymbal-crashing noises. Parents who allow their children to play drums are very special people who probably don’t get along well with their neighbors.
You might think that being a drummer would be a rather lonely existence, except that in the last couple of centuries, they have become absolutely essential to the success of almost every group or band of musicians. It is usually the drummers who get the most attention from adoring fans.
