Welcome to Clarinet, Flute & Saxophone Lessons in Mississauga
These instruments are just three in the large family of woodwind instruments.
The Clarinet & Saxophone is featured prominently in Jazz & Big Band music, while the Flute is an integral part of symphony orchestras.
The key ingredient for success in mastering these instruments is your ability to blow hot air – consistently! Oh, and you also have to possess lips. Not only that, but you have to know how to breathe – properly, which is very different from breathing normally. So, when you bring your instrument, your lungs and your lips to a woodwind lesson, your teacher can definitely help you with the proper breathing technique.
By the way, do you know why it is called a saxophone? It is named after its inventor, Belgian instrument maker, Adolphe Sax. No kidding. He also played the flute and clarinet. But he didn’t invent those two instruments. If he did, they would have probably been called the saxoflute and saxinet. No kidding.
